The following is a short description of the placements available for long-term European Voluntary Service in Republic of Macedonia.
Projects duration: July 2006- August 2007 (possibility for 9, 10 or 12 month's service)
The starting date of the projects is depending on the volunteer and the sending organization. It can be as soon on 10th of July 2006 and lattes till 01st of September 2006.
The duration of the project is open on preference of the volunteers. Our suggestion is 9 months.
1. Project Title: *Motion to my emotion*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Youth Educational Forum
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
For those interested to learn many things about debating, project management and non-formal education, this is a great possibility. The youth educational forum is an NGO focused on promoting the idea that debating is an excellent way for young people to obtain optimal knowledge. It has recently even become an optional subject in several high-schools in Macedonia. Apart from this, the organization is running several projects in Macedonia, focused on high-school and university students, aiming for a more creative approach in the teaching methods, as well as for improvement of the student rights and generally, for increasing the public awareness about the advantages of the non-formal education and it's effects.
2. Project Title: *Rocking (my) chances*

For people with excellent communicational skills, this is a great possibility. The Agency VRABOTUVANJE.COM has a vision to set up new standards in the employment processes in Macedonia and the region, as well as becoming the most trusted and used Employment Agency in the region. Our mission is to provide quick, cheap and efficient package of employment services for the companies in need of professionals, and to provide HOPE for the unemployed people in finding a job. Our logo is: "your employment is our goal and duty". Up to now, we have offered many innovative services, both to the unemployed, and the companies. We have started our own educational campaign for unemployed people on how to prepare professional CV's and motivation letters as well as how to prepare for and overcome the stress of an interview, and many other skills needed in order to obtain an employment.

Host organization: Youth and Children's Parliament

The Children's and Youth Parliament of Macedonia is a national organization that has clubs in elementary and in high-schools throughout the country. We work on several themes, like youth participation, EU, democracy and projects for children, usually from marginalized groups, so the volunteer will be able to choose to work on one of our projects. We want to make children and young people in the country aware that their voice should be heard, and that they shouldn't be ashamed of their opinion. We do this through many non-formal education projects, with many guests and VIP's from Macedonia.
4. Project Title: *Broadcast the success*
Placement in: Prilep
Host organization: NGO support centre
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
The NGO Support Centre is designed for strengthening the role of NGOs in the civil society. The NGO Support Centre pursues its goal by supporting NGO organization and operation in local communities and by strengthening their capacities for cooperation with other NGOs, local government, private sector and media. Also it is supporting various types of initiatives connected with the civil society, marginalized groups and youth. In order to enlarge the knowledge in these areas, the NGO Support Center initiates and organizes plenty of projects, tribunes, workshops, round tables and forums
5. Project Title: *Cha(lle)nges for the youth*

Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
The mission of the Youth Centre Prilep, a youth NGO established in 1999, is the active involvement of the youth in the democratic processes that will lead to the extensive development of the civil society. The idea for its founding was to create conditions for common action of the young individuals and associations in order to identify and fulfill the youth's needs. Moreover, the Youth Centre Prilep is working on the strengthening of the cooperation among the young people from different ethnic groups and promotes multiethnic living. In order to achieve its objectives, it organizes a non-formal education for the youth in form of training courses, workshops and seminars and support youth initiatives and campaigns.
6. Project Title: *Meet the past, create the future*
Placement in: Prilep
Host organization: Institute for old Slavic Culture
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
"The Institute for the Old Slavic Culture" is a one of the four National Institutes in the Republic of Macedonia. The experts who are working in the Institute for Old Slavic Culture are exploring the culture of the old Slavic culture and other nations that have inhabited the territory of the Republicof Macedonia and the region. During the 30 years of working tradition, more than 200 national and international (bilateral and multilateral) projects have been realized through this Institute. The material findings obtained by the realization of these projects and the conclusions of the experts presented in the professional publications, have had enormous importance in the process of creation and recognition of the history and culture of the Macedonian people.
7. Project Title: *(NO) PREJUDICES ?*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Hera
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
The main activities of HERA, an association for health education founded in 1999, are connected with the promotion of the health habits among the young people and adolescents with a special accent on providing appropriate sexual education. It is a promoter of the non-formal sexual education, consoler of the young people and supporter. HERA is accomplishing its goals by implementing projects for the elimination of the prejudices toward AIDS and promoting the rights of the marginalized groups like homosexuals.
8. Project Title: *Youth for Youth*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Youth Council of Gazi Baba
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
Youth Council of Gazi Baba is youth organization in the Municipality of Gazi Baba in city of Skopje. The volunteer will assist the team that cooperates with the municipality in creation of youth policy as well as organising sport events as tournaments for youngsters in this municipality, concerts, and other different events.
9. Project Title: *VoluntNET*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Voluntary Centre of Skopje
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
The volunteer will be promoting local voluntarism, will work on organization of local working camps with children from elementary school, working on awareness campaign for creation of law on voluntarism in Macedonia, promoting international working camps and etc As youth organization VCS is in cooperation with international work camps associations and one part of the volunteers task will be to promote camps in Macedonia and abroad trough internet.
10. Project Title: *Youth without borders*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Youth Council of Kisela Voda
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
Youth Council of Kisela Voda is youth organization in the Municipality of Kisela Voda in city of Skopje. The volunteer will assist the team that cooperates with the municipality in creation of youth policy as well as organising sport events as tournaments for youngsters in this municipality, concerts, and other different events. He\she will be working with be communicating regular with other youth councils in Macedonia for coordination of different activities.
11. Project Title: *VOICES*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Macedonian Youth Press
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
Macedonian Youth Press is association of young people interested in working with medias, journalism and information. We have main organization in Skopjeand other local organizations in different towns in Macedonia. We are working closely with the students unions in different faculties in Skopje and as part of our cooperation is creation of Youth newspaper in the dormitories in Skopje, called VOICES. The volunteer will assist the team of young people in all the activities for the magazine: starting from interviews, photography, editing and etc.
12. Project Title: *Me. Point of view*
Placement in: Skopje
Host organization: Kaval
Coordinating organization: Youth Forum EYE
This is a great opportunity for all those interested in photography and film-making. This production is specialized in multinational projects and is very renowned in the film-making industry in the region. We will provide the volunteer with an up-close view of all the aspects of filming and producing video materials, and methods of overcoming obstacles during the process. Candidates with experience in film-making will be given advantage.
